I started my Citron shawl, but don’t think this is going to work. It just seems a bit too busy. I’m thinking I’m going to have to hunt though the stash and see what I can come up with.

Poor Max needs a top knot trim. Every groomer we’ve had loves to leave his top knot high. The only problem is it falls over when it gets to long. They have a standing appointment at the groomer every 4-weeks. This time its 5-weeks because they have a dog show to go to, so their next appointment is still 2-weeks away . I may have to get him on my table myself and give him a little trim.

Not to be outdone… the Coco is chilling.

So I finished up two old projects and started a new one. Here is my Ruffle My Feathers shawl in the handspun dragonfly that I just finished. When I saw this pattern, I knew it was the one for this yarn. Perfect for Fall.

This is a lovely free Ravelry pattern – 198 Yards of Heaven. I used some love Karaoke that was a gift from my two knitting buds — Beverly and Dawn. I have two more balls that might become another one of these…because it’s perfect size to be scarf and just enough coverage to keep your shoulders warm — so versatile.

Coco really wants the ball… can I have the ball please? Now it looks like a pet toy factory blew up here most days, but if Max has one ball… she must have it. They are both little hoarders. Happy Dogs on Thursday.

I have another whole ball of yarn to use and don’t see the point of letting it go to waste. Plus I know that it will block larger, but it’s a bit small for my taste at this point. I think that a little larger – more shawl like – will be more useful to me.

Finally I finished up Multnomah and even got the two ends woven end and blocked it. Love it… if I was to do it over again, I would put markers in between each repeat. I kept missing a YO here and there…fixable, but a complete PITA.

I also got the turkey potpie fillings done. I made enough for probably 10 9-inch pies. Whoa… that’s a lot of turkey.

I have to say…I’m glad both of these tasks are done. Off to the next projects.

I finally broke down and ordered a seat frame from The Crewel Work Company. I had a little b-day money left and I think since my right hand is a bit weak from an ancient accident, I will enjoy stitching hands free. I may have also ordered their new video, since I have yet to get to a crewel or surface embroidery class.

So I’ve done a little blog housekeeping today. I’m sure I’ve should’ve been doing the regular type, but whatever, I’ll get to it… eventually.

You’ll see I have a new banner. Finally. I’ve had that one on my list forever to do. The basic really wasn’t cutting it. So that and a matching new favicon and cleaned up some behind the scenes things… oh and added my Goodreads link. Love, love, love Goodreads. Although I may do more browsing on Goodreads than actually reading nowadays. Kinda like Ravelry.

I do have a finished object to show you. This is for my friend Barb, modeled by her daughter Dawn.

It’s La La’s Simple Shawl. I was worried it would be too small, but it blocked out gorgeous. Photo credit to my friend Sara, who took the pictures, because the hair brain that I am forgot the camera that day. Thanks Sara. Spec’s can be found on my rav page here.
