I managed to whip up this large knitting bag and the shawl even on [...]]]> So I have not forgotten to knit.  I’ve been working on the Northern Lights Shawl (a Rav freebie) with my newly purchased Sophie’s Toes Magic Ball in Preppy Girl.  This is my project page if your interested in my notes.

I managed to whip up this large knitting bag and the shawl even on the spinner fits in nicely.  Yeah!

I love it.  I have a few more to whip up for friends.

I used just under 800 yards of fingering weight yarn.  No bleeding this time off a hand-dyed.  Yipee.  I did 6 repeats and a longer ruffle on a size 4 needles.  More details can be found at my project page.

Just finished row 7 and section 4.  Only have used about 1 ounce of yarn so far… so while it’s going quick now I suspect it will slow down at several hundred stitches.  It’s so mindless and easy – a nice [...]]]> So glad that I didn’t frog this – totally has grown on me.

Coco really wants the ball… can I have the ball please?  Now it looks like a pet toy factory blew up here most days, but if Max has one ball… she must have it.  They are both little hoarders.  Happy Dogs on Thursday.

I [...]]]> So our knitting guild is having a knit-a-long and one of the projects is this 198 Yards of Heaven Scarf (Rav link to Free Pattern).  Well I’m at the 2.5 repeat point where I’m supposed to start the end pattern, but I think I’m going to keep going for another repeat or so.

I have another whole ball of yarn to use and don’t see the point of letting it go to waste.  Plus I know that it will block larger, but it’s a bit small for my taste at this point.  I think that a little larger – more shawl like – will be more useful to me.

I also got the turkey potpie fillings done.  [...]]]> Finally I finished up Multnomah and even got the two ends woven end and blocked it.  Love it… if I was to do it over again, I would put markers in between each repeat.  I kept missing a YO here and there…fixable, but a complete PITA.

I have to say…I’m glad both of these tasks are done.  Off to the next projects.

I finally broke down and ordered a seat frame from The Crewel Work Company.  I had a little b-day money left and I think since my right hand is [...]]]> I nearly have a Multnomah… one more repeat to go.  I decided to stitch on my crewel practice piece yesterday instead of wrapping this up.

You’ll see I have a new banner.  Finally.  I’ve had that one on my list forever to do.  The basic really wasn’t cutting it.  So that and a matching new [...]]]> So I’ve done a little blog housekeeping today.  I’m sure I’ve should’ve been doing the regular type, but whatever,  I’ll get to it… eventually.
