Coco really wants the ball… can I have the ball please? Now it looks like a pet toy factory blew up here most days, but if Max has one ball… she must have it. They are both little hoarders. Happy Dogs on Thursday.

I finished La Novia last night. This is going to be one of those really warm, snuggly scarf. Just needs a good blocking now and it’s going to take a little while to pin it all out right. I think it will be worth it as it will open the pattern up.

So last night I turned my head for one minute and the bunny must’ve popped out. Coco spotted it and picked it up, which in turn caused it to do little bunny screaming. Yes, bunnies can scream and I’ve heard it before when someone I know gently moved one out of her garden once. Don’t worry – no bunny was harmed.

I went running out there cussing like a fool – the neighbors were out… and I’m sure well entertained. Coco obviously was stunned and was just standing where she dropped her and was wagging her tail. Both the little poodles wanted her to play. Well I shooed them out and the bunny hopped away. I checked on here – she’s very distinctive with the one white streak of fur down her forehead – and she is just fine. No problems. I saw her again today and she is still fine – no worries.

Anyway this picture was taken right after this bunny had an Oh Sh*t! moment. Poor thing.

My friend Julie asked in the last post and they are about teacup size – as they could fit in a teacup.

Oh and if your interested I also got my hair re-styled. I kinda like this back for the summer.

Another finished object this year already. Yeah!

Well my friend Cindy and I braved the snow to make our way to Mosaic Yarns for the Queen Anne’s Scarf crochet class.

This was my first time on the train to Chicago and we had a blast. We we arrived we planned on eating at a nice Italian eatery, well unfortunately it was closed we ended up at another restaurant that was quite ok. Nothing to write about for sure.

After lunch we headed back to the class to pick out our yarns. Mosaic is not a large shop, but it has a very nice selection. I really wanted a Debbie Bliss Cashmerino. Not because I love Cashmerino, but I found the perfect color. Unfortunately they didn’t have enough for both the scarf and hat I wanted to make to match. So I ended up finding a close second with Ultra Alpaca.

The class was very nice and I got pretty far in my repeats. By the time Sunday came, I was well on my way to being done and now it’s finished.

Our only snafu of the whole day was on the way home. My DH drove us since it was terrible snow and on the way back he got lost finding the train station. It was the first time we had both been there and if you been to the country you know how dark it is out here. We found a diner to take refuge in and survived that experience. DH felt terrible about that but what can you do. I would definitely go again, but maybe request a day without the snow.

So today I’m still not feeling too well, but things still need to get done. DH agreed to drive me around today and the first stop was to get my hair done. Poor guy had to wait at the salon for an hour. It looks the same, but the back is a bit shorter so I can make it 4-weeks between cuts. My hair grows like a weed in July.

We also headed back to Sam’s Club. Remember the TV. Well, they put it on sale. DH asked for a price adjustment and would you believe it… they gave us our money back. Whohoo…

So I have to tell you I’m not pleased right now. I walked into the bathroom where I was soaking the scarf and found a sink full of dark purple water. The the second rinse gave me light purple water. I rinsed and rinsed and then rolled it in a towel and the towel has red on it. It went back into rinse some more and is still bleeding light purple. I’m going to be ticked it this bleeding of dye ruins this scarf and all the light colors have a purple cast to them. I’m already going to have to scrub the sink as it’s got a purple stain.

So last night went well. Needless to say the Spanx worked and nothing popped out and all was fine.
