My friend dyes up this great yarn – Gypsy Girl – Transitions. Whoops I shouldn’t have looked at the page because there is another one I want. Anyway – It’s been calling to me and finally I decided to cast it on. I’m doing Evelyn Clark’s Wildflower Lace Scarf. [...] Look!!! Two finished objects this month so far… whohoo… This is a lovely free Ravelry pattern – 198 Yards of Heaven. I used some love Karaoke that was a gift from my two knitting buds — Beverly and Dawn. I have two more balls that might become another one of these…because it’s perfect size [...] I finished La Novia last night. This is going to be one of those really warm, snuggly scarf. Just needs a good blocking now and it’s going to take a little while to pin it all out right. I think it will be worth it as it will open the pattern up. So last [...] So when I finished February Lady Sweater, which will get buttons soon, I picked up La Novia again and I’m almost done. I’d probably be done a little faster, but I’ve been browsing the web looking at an old-timey past-time. Letter writing. I miss getting actual mail. Anyway I found this cool site [...] We’ve all had it happen. We look at a ball of yarn and make a decision and declare it will be this, only to find out the yarn wants to be something entirely different. This is what happened with some yarn I spun over the holidays. The Meret beret got frogged and now it’s becoming [...] Another finished object this year already. Yeah! Well my friend Cindy and I braved the snow to make our way to Mosaic Yarns for the Queen Anne’s Scarf crochet class. This was my first time on the train to Chicago and we had a blast. We we arrived we planned on eating at a nice [...] I’m just going to give you a preview… but it includes a train ride, a crochet class in the Chicago burbs, a started scarf, my DH getting lost to pick us up from the train, dinner in a strange little diner, and finally exhaustion. It ends with the scarf on my blocking board, but I’ll [...] The beautiful rainbow singles that I spun were screaming at me to be knit up. So I wound the yarn and away we went. I picked out the multi-directional diagonal scarf (free) as the pattern and casted on 30 sts. Using size 9 needle.
This will be my easy mindless project for [...] So it’s been too foggy to take a picture outside, but it finally cleared up and I got a picture of the tower.
Finally finished the cable scarf. Really this went quick. I loved this pattern and how the scarf turned out. I think the best thing is to slip the first [...] So I didn’t get all my presents done and off as expected… but that’s ok. I sent the two hats and other goodies along and I’ll tell mom when she get’s it that the scarf is next.
So today I’m still not feeling too well, but things still need to get done. [...] |
