Since we lived here we’ve had a rose bush, but no roses. This year I decided that I would cut it back and take my chances. I think I have a secret green thumb, because I’ve never had so many blooms. They came out a gorgeous pink that match my new gorgeous Pink Lamy Safari. I [...] This year’s garden is looking good. I’m thinking we’re going to be having a good crop this year. As soon as the peppers pick up, it may be perfect. Here’s is my zucchini cucumber plants. Also my tomato plants. I finished La Novia last night. This is going to be one of those really warm, snuggly scarf. Just needs a good blocking now and it’s going to take a little while to pin it all out right. I think it will be worth it as it will open the pattern up. So last night I [...] The bunnies have made their public debut in my garden. This is bunny two. All of the previous were [...] Today started off with a drizzle, but I managed to get out and get my Saturday Sky picture. It did however get sunny later on and start drying things out. I was starting to get worried about the garden with all of this cool rain. I don’t want any mold or rot to take over before [...] Yesterday definitely took it out of us. DH and I both didn’t get up until around noon and we were jut wiped out all day. We didn’t even get it all done. Insert violin, because yes, I am whining here. This dang yard work is akin to housework. Never, ever, ever, done. Whah!!!! I [...] After errands, DH and I worked in the garden all day. So there’s not much new to report. Still working out in the yard. Spent 2 more hours out there in 80-degree heat. I know… I’ve lost my mind. I’m trying to find some joy in gardening. I know some people really enjoy this – I may just not be one of them. I like going [...] Well the reluctant gardener along with her very helpful sidekick managed to get the front of the house for the most part ready for mulch. There was bush trimming and weed pulling that made my arm wretchedly sore. I give the bushes the first trim and then DH came back around and fixed them up. [...] So the reluctant gardener is back at work around here on a gorgeous Saturday day. Cool and good for yardwork. Although these did not need any help from me. It was a good day to work in the front as it was doggy grooming day and I didn’t have to keep an eye on the little one.  |
