Just finished row 7 and section 4.  Only have used about 1 ounce of yarn so far… so while it’s going quick now I suspect it will slow down at several hundred stitches.  It’s so mindless and easy – a nice knit.

Love, love, love how this turned out.  I have to admit the yarn is still bleeding, but still love it.

I started my Citron shawl, but don’t think this is going to work.  It just seems a bit too busy.  I’m thinking I’m going to have to hunt though the stash and see what I can come up with.

The Sweet Pea was trying to help out.

I’m blaming it on the yarn fumes.  It all started with that purple Opal.  Remember my favorite purple pair that had a blow out.  I’m hoping for a replacement.

Now onto some other fun things… the camera was played with this weekend.  I learned how to do HDR and here are some of my examples.

Then there was Sweet Pea and my shawl… poor shawl has taken a bit of a back seat to the camera this week.  I’m on row 17 of the edging.  The edging does seem to take longer than garter.

A few flower shots from my garden.  And finally… one of the best fortune scrolls I’ve gotten in a while to cap off a lovely Thai meal with some friends.

When I was contacted by Stephanie – Biffy Beans – about reviewing a webbie and doing a giveaway, I jumped at the chance.  As a lover of notebooks and fountain pens, I have a special fondness for Rhodia products and this one did not disappoint.

First off it has a lovely sturdy cover, elastic closure, ribbon tab, and pocket in the back.

When I opened it I found smooth creamy blank paper.  The journal itself lays flat for easy writing.

Finally I tested it out with a Lamy EF in Poussiere de Lune.  It writes like butter across this paper.  No bleed through, and some pretty shading emerged.

Overall this notebook is a clear winner and my new favorite.

When I got home the next day I found this lovely butterfly in my garden.  I’ve been trying to put in more butterfly and hummingbird plants.  The butterfly bush (not in these pictures) seems to have been a popular choice this year.  I’m thinking a few more of those next year.

Not to be outdone… the Coco is chilling.

So I finished up two old projects and started a new one.  Here is my Ruffle My Feathers shawl in the handspun dragonfly that I just finished.  When I saw this pattern, I knew it was the one for this yarn.  Perfect for Fall.
