Well it seems that since I started quilting, my knitting and spinning has slowed to a snail pace. It got even slower now that I’m working on the Farmer’s Wife. So, it’s slow, but not forgotten. I joined Knitspot’s Fall In Color Club and this is the first pattern – Long Shadows. I had [...] This lovely yarn was from 4 ounces of roving that was purchased back at the WI Sheep and Wool. This is from River’s Edge Fiber Arts. It was much brighter before setting the twist. The bleeding was bad with this one. I should’ve gotten the vinegar out earlier. I’m not sure on the size [...] I couldn’t resist spinning up this lovely batt – it’s about 24 to 26 wpi and will be a 2 ply for some socks. It’s called Acorn – perfect for Fall spinning and knitting. Of course all these side projects are not helping with my UFO knit down that my guild is doing. The [...] Well, well…we’ve got a FO to show off today. Love, love, love how this turned out. I have to admit the yarn is still bleeding, but still love it. I started my Citron shawl, but don’t think this is going to work. It just seems a bit too busy. So 4 ounces has become approximately 550 yards of this lace weight yarn.
Not exactly what I expected. It’s more brown than I thought it would be, but still lovely. I’m thinking the next 4 ounces should be socks – a nice [...] |
