Happy Whisker’s on Wednesday! Sorry for the long hiatus. Right after the windows were replaced – Coco needed knee surgery. It’s been quite a recovery period – 4 weeks so far tomorrow and then another 8 weeks of restrictions. Between taking care of her and everything else going on it’s been a challenge, but I’m [...] Happy Holidays. We just managed to suck down some delicious ham. DH cooked in the Le Cruset and wow… it was falling off the bone and super juicy. And while I don’t have a picture of it yet, I have finished quilting a flannel quilt. What was I thinking? That thing was impossible to move [...] Yesterday I took a free motion quilting class. I found it’s a lot harder than it looks, but I think with some practice it will get better. This is a Romney fleece purchased in the spring from a lovely sheep named Mama. My plan is to use some of my spinning softly techniques learned at the WI Sheep and Wool Class and whip my own Mama up a sweater [...] I signed up for quite a few photo classes this semester and Tuesday night was my first one. It’s going to be a busy, yet productive next couple of months. Composition was our theme and we got out with our cameras right away in the parking lot, looking for interesting compositions. [...] So Julie and I took 5 classes at the WI Sheep and Wool this year. Yes we are crazy and that is why we are now busy recuperating. One of the classes was a Russian continental knitting class.
