Hello! Sorry for the long hiatus. I’m back from taking care of a sick relative and getting back in the groove. Anyway… Coco is four today… Happy Birthday Coco! We are having a quiet day today. We’re going out for a walk and going to have a treat. Only a side shot…she wasn’t being [...] I haven’t done a Whisker’s On Wednesday in a while, so I thought it was about time. The sleeper. The [...] It was such a lovely day yesterday that I decided to get out to some local gardens for a photo walk. I managed to use every lens in my bag yesterday. First was Anderson Gardens a lovely Japanese garden in town. What an enjoyable time and walk. I would love to just go sit [...] Maybe…It is seriously taking it’s time. So I bought Photoshop and Lightroom in the fall. While I have adapted right away to Lightroom, Photoshop was a different matter. Let’s just say I’ve been learning Photoshop at a snail’s pace. I found this cool 15 tutorials for creating authentic photo effects blog post. One was Lomo – (DPS is really cool site [...] Last week was insane at Chez Purl. First off I learned I can’t do acrobatics in the pool at the gym any more. It’s a long story and one that reminds me my birthday is next week and no I won’t be turning 21 again. The short of it is I pulled a muscle along [...] I feel like I stuck a toe in and said “yup the water is just fine” and then did a cannon ball in the middle of the pool. The photo bug has bit hard. I ended up back at the camera shop today. My SD card was going and they will replace them for free, [...] I spent the weekend playing with my new speed-light (SB900), off camera lightening cord and Strobies portrait kit (I especially like the beauty dish bounced off the ceiling in the house). I think actually I will probably need 2 speed-lights to make maximum use of the kit, but I’m waiting on the SB700 to come [...] Photo class tonight included macro. I picked out a tin out the bag and here was my favorite shot. This was shot with my kit lens and there has been no retouching. |
