Hello! Sorry for the long hiatus. I’m back from taking care of a sick relative and getting back in the groove.

Anyway… Coco is four today…

We are having a quiet day today. We’re going out for a walk and going to have a treat. Only a side shot…she wasn’t being overly cooperative with the camera out today.

Poor Violet… She’s like a tiny lion walking around.

Her hair was just shedding too fast and I couldn’t keep up. Plus she’s gets a wee bit on the crabby side when you get the brush out. She’s bounced back just fine and found out she likes a good scratch on the less hairy bits.

Lily

Lily had sinus surgery on Monday. Poor thing has such a small nose, we think she’s not getting much air through there.

Hence she has no appetite and is just skinny as a rail. There are a few stitches in blue at the top on each side. She’s breathing good now and when the swelling goes down in a couple days, it should be even better. We’re also hoping for better drainage and less runny face.

She’s on pain meds and getting some triple antibiotic ointment applied with a swab. She should be feeling much better in a few days. Stitches come out in two weeks. I gave her the dose of pain meds today and she seems to already be feeling a bit better.

It’s been awhile since a Whisker on Wednesday post…

We’ve got lots of things in the works. Poor Daisy needs to see a leg specialist. Something appears not right on the x-ray. Maybe a piece broken off the bone. We got an appointment at the end of March at the vet school.

Lily is going to see a vet next week who has done lots of Persian sinus surgery. It’s just a consultation, but if she is eligible I’m thinking it’s going to get done.

Sweet Pea is getting a teeth cleaning next week. She’s following Emma and Charlie to the dentist this month. The vet extended the dental month discount into the first week of March… yeah! Gives me time to get everyone sorted.

Poor girl needed yet another bath. She is having issues and isn’t feeling very well right now, so not just a bath, but a dose of icky banana flavored medicine (2x a day for a week…little does she know right now).

I haven’t done a Whisker’s On Wednesday in a while, so I thought it was about time.

The sleeper. Violet at 6 months. The new chief pillow tester.

The others were sleeping in spots unseen by the camera that day. I’m thinking these were all shot with my big 85mm f1.4 lens. Beautiful for portraits.

Lily Eyes

So Lily is the Silver Shaded Persian, who thankfully is no longer pink. Well, the girl’s eyes are a bit on the runny side and it’s really noticeable on her white fur. I must have been wiping her eyes 3x a day a least. No one liked that… and I found I didn’t even take too many photos of her because I was worried people would think I didn’t take good care of her and really nothing could be further from the truth.

Well, I found this product and bought a trial size for both her and Coco. It’s called Eye Envy and let’s just say it works. It worked like a charm on Lily and she’s looking fabulous! Coco’s hair is a bit more stained, so no new staining, but it will take a few haircuts to get rid of all the stained fur.

Anyway here’s the before…

Huge difference all around the eyes and in the area around the nose, plus it lasted for a good 3 days before I felt the need to reapply. You may not notice on these smaller size photos, but really it’s huge. She wasn’t feeling very cooperative on second picture day. Oh well… anyway, no affiliation, but just wanted to share a great project and we’ll be seeing more of Lily now on the blog.
