I’ve spent the weekend cleaning and trying to make some progress on some of my older of WIP’s. First off these Summer of Love Lace Socks… I think maybe a year old. Next up I’ve been crocheting the border on my Danish Tie Shawl. Almost done and I’m starting to love it as it’s [...] Whew – TGIF and I’m so happy. Here’s some of the great sheep we saw last week.

This is such a fun, mindless, rhythm knit when you need to just relax in front of the TV. I can’t wait to [...] So it’s been a stressful few days with a lot more work than I’m used to, but like Mom used to say – you gotta make hay while the sun shines. I did manage to get some knitting in last night on my next rib warmer, but I have to get my wheel back out [...] It’s snowing again out right now and we will be celebrating a quiet New Year’s Eve at home. I think I will try to finish my bunny slipper’s or get out my wheel. I do have one final finished project of the season. Remember that 250 yards I spun this week. Well I went for [...] The best thing about this project is it’s great for handspun – it is so forgiving. If you remember this was cormo and I tried the spinning for softness and speed technique. One ball was a bit larger than the other two and I used every last bit. It’s is so cozy and the collar [...] I made the second turn and am now coming up the back on the Rib Warmer vest. This has been my latest mindless knitting – activity. I’m also hoping to have this one out next week as well.
This is the cormo that I spun. [...] So let’s see, I have to have everything mailed by the 18th at the latest…. hmm this is going to be interesting. I’m doing one rib warmer – this is the white yarn I spun using Paula’s method of spinning with softness and speed. It ended up in a dye pot last week and became [...] So, it’s my birthday today and we’re off to an early supper at a trendy little tapas place. You know leftovers on your birthday simply won’t cut it. However, first I have to show off my Butterfly out of Noro that is finally done. Well it has been done for a while waiting for me [...] The next time you see this sweater it should have the ends finished weaving in, be de-furred, had a good soaking, and be blocked.
Not bad. I spent last night and this morning finishing up the seams and I think I’m going to have a good fit. [...] |
