I finished up two pairs of socks this week. These are just my basic simple sock knitting recipe, with afterthought heels. I have a love/hate relationship with afterthought heels. I followed the recipe, but it seems I have a short heel. So I pulled back and only went down to [...] I can’t believe it’s been more than a week since I posted. Whoops. I feel like I’ve been everywhere. I know there’s just so much going on, but for the life of me I don’t know what. Last night I gave a talk/demo on spinning to the Hononegah Women’s group. We all had a blast. [...] We had a beautiful Saturday Day – a little cool – but lovely. Perfect for socks. Here’s an update on my plain socks I’m working on. I’ve casted on the second sock to all and making good progress on the one – to get it done. Have to say I really don’t [...] I know it’s been a week since I posted. Shame on me, but I’ve been conserving energy for a good reason. I’ve been feeling a little run down lately. I swear my office is filled to the brim with cold and flu bugs and even some knitting friends seem to have come down with it [...] I finised my Froot Loops this week and finally got them blocked. Yeah! I can’t wait to wear them today. I have to cast on my next pair this weekend for my Silly Swap Pal. I think I have a pattern picked out. I can’t wait. I also finally casted on my February Lady’s [...] Thank you to everyone for the thoughts. I have to say nighttime is the hardest. I expect to look over and see her on the pillow or encouraging me to put my book down and pay attention to her. The vet sent over flowers, which was very nice.
I have managed to [...] I finished up my Baudelaire socks. I’m on a role. Yeah!
I’m working on Froot Loops next. I have to say I like the Baudelaire’s, but I don’t think these will be my favorite to wear. They have no stretch at all to them. They fit nicely after the blocking, but without [...] Somewhere in 2008 I lost my sock mojo. I don’t know where it went, but over the weekend I needed something to keep my mind off of Sophie, so I picked up my Baudelaire sock. I was past the heel, so it was just straight leg knitting. I’m anxious to cast on the next sock. [...] Finally got these socks done. Only took 10 months. This was part of the Socks that Rock club from last year. I modified the pattern from a cuff pattern to take the pattern all the way down the leg and foot. [...] I’ve spent the weekend cleaning and trying to make some progress on some of my older of WIP’s. First off these Summer of Love Lace Socks… I think maybe a year old. Next up I’ve been crocheting the border on my Danish Tie Shawl. Almost done and I’m starting to love it as it’s [...] |
