So I have not forgotten to knit. I’ve been working on the Northern Lights Shawl (a Rav freebie) with my newly purchased Sophie’s Toes Magic Ball in Preppy Girl. I managed to whip up this large knitting bag and the shawl even on [...] I have a few finishes under my belt this year that finally have been photographed. Yeah! I knew you were all worried I abandoned knitting and it’s been nothing but quilting, quilting and more quilting, but as you can see there was no need to worry. First Wildflower Lace Next Heart to Heart [...] Who-hoo… a finished object. I finished my unscheduled Citron. Wonderful, easy knit… I used just under 800 yards of fingering weight yarn. No bleeding this time off a hand-dyed. Yipee. I did 6 repeats and a longer ruffle on a size 4 needles. More details can be found at my project page. [...] So glad that I didn’t frog this – totally has grown on me. Just finished row 7 and section 4. Only have used about 1 ounce of yarn so far… so while it’s going quick now I suspect it will slow down at several hundred stitches. It’s so mindless and easy – a nice [...] Well, well…we’ve got a FO to show off today. Love, love, love how this turned out. I have to admit the yarn is still bleeding, but still love it. I started my Citron shawl, but don’t think this is going to work. It just seems a bit too busy. Now onto some other fun things… the camera was played with this weekend. I learned how to do HDR and here are some of my examples. Then there was Sweet Pea and [...] Poor Max needs a top knot trim. Every groomer we’ve had loves to leave his top knot high. The only problem is it falls over when it gets to long. They have a standing appointment at the groomer every 4-weeks. This time its 5-weeks because they have a dog show to go to, so their [...] Look!!! Two finished objects this month so far… whohoo… This is a lovely free Ravelry pattern – 198 Yards of Heaven. I used some love Karaoke that was a gift from my two knitting buds — Beverly and Dawn. I have two more balls that might become another one of these…because it’s perfect size [...] So our knitting guild is having a knit-a-long and one of the projects is this 198 Yards of Heaven Scarf (Rav link to Free Pattern). Well I’m at the 2.5 repeat point where I’m supposed to start the end pattern, but I think I’m going to keep going for another repeat or so. I [...] Finally I finished up Multnomah and even got the two ends woven end and blocked it. Love it… if I was to do it over again, I would put markers in between each repeat. I kept missing a YO here and there…fixable, but a complete PITA. I also got the turkey potpie fillings done. [...] |
