So winter has for sure come upon us — it’s very clear and cold today. At least we are getting some sun today. I started a Coco sweater – the cold weather has urged me on since squeezing her into her old coats don’t seem to be an option this year. Unfortunately last [...] Not together of course… First up I changed the colors to purple, white and black for the Wintergreen Gloves (free Rav Pattern). These are coming along, but a little neglected at this point. Another neglected project are my slugs. I want to do two more and his one still needs lips and eyes… [...] So I just wanted to do a quick update post to let you all know I’m on the mend. Last Tuesday I had the works sinus surgery, including fixing the deviated septum and have been spending my time laying around the house in a Vicodin-induced haze recovering. Yesterday, I was able to get my packing [...] This week blew by. I can’t believe it’s Friday already. I must be in a high creative time because I’ve been crafting up a storm lately. Here’s some examples – 175 yards of Aran to bulky weight of lovely CormoX – Pia. I want to make the Truly Tasha Shawl. I’m thinking this is going [...] I’ve been looking online at all of the Chinese New Year celebrations going on. Looks like the year of the Ox should be a good one, let’s hope so.
I knitted up two dishcloths over the weekend. We’re having a little party this week with the knitting group. It’s a Winter Celebration. [...] So some of the earlier dishcloths I’ve made are looking quite ragged, so I had to whip up a couple new ones. I tried out a simple pattern found on Ravelry and I really like it.
It’s make a nice and squishy dish rag. It’s a freebie found on Twisted Loops Blog. [...] With Coco just reaching the 6 month mark, it was time to have her little surgery done. Poor thing had the works actually. She needed all her baby canines pulled out (the roots on the teeth amazed the doctor), then flushed her eye ducts since they were closed and finally she was spayed. Whew lots [...] Sorry for being MIA the last few days. I was busy all week in the evening and then tired every morning. By Thursday I was so tired, I was feeling the effects of vertigo. Friday, I was nursing a headache all day, by 7:30pm it was a full blown migrane. Finally today I’m [...] So our little purple squirrel is ready for a spin in the washer. I’m very interested in seeing how this little guy turns out. So let me just say – I’m in love with Portuguese knitting. It’s easy, fun and when I picked up my other knitting, I wanted to knit it the other way. I have to say it’s much easier on my hands.
