So glad that I didn’t frog this – totally has grown on me. Just finished row 7 and section 4. Only have used about 1 ounce of yarn so far… so while it’s going quick now I suspect it will slow down at several hundred stitches. It’s so mindless and easy – a nice knit.

Well, well…we’ve got a FO to show off today. Love, love, love how this turned out. I have to admit the yarn is still bleeding, but still love it. I started my Citron shawl, but don’t think this is going to work. It just seems a bit too busy. Now onto some other fun things… the camera was played with this weekend. I learned how to do HDR and here are some of my examples. Then there was Sweet Pea and my shawl… [...] Poor Max needs a top knot trim. Every groomer we’ve had loves to leave his top knot high. The only problem is it falls over when it gets to long. They have a standing appointment at the groomer every 4-weeks. This time its 5-weeks because they have a dog show to go to, so their [...] Look!!! Two finished objects this month so far… whohoo… This is a lovely free Ravelry pattern – 198 Yards of Heaven. I used some love Karaoke that was a gift from my two knitting buds — Beverly and Dawn. I have two more balls that might become another one of these…because it’s perfect size to [...] This was a very fun project. I stuffed it with white floral styrofoam, which worked perfectly. This was based after Alan Dart’s Wedding Cake Pattern. I switch the top out tothe crochet rose pattern available free for on Ravelry. I also added a 5 stitch I-cord along the bottom. It’s off in the mail [...] I think I may have now been knitting for so long that sometimes I read directions and my brain translates them to how it thinks it should be. I’m knitting the Wedding Cake from Alan Dart. Well, for some reason I looked at this and my brain said – hmmm…must be knit in the round, [...] Two different days… two socks had a blow out. A pair of monkeys on the left… bummer. I got these in a swap and loved them. They were in a sport, so great in the colder weather. A pair of Koigu knit in Julie’s pattern – Monet’s Twist – on the right. I loved these [...] I love these projects that are like origami knitting. You start off Raveneli by knitting the collar in the round first. Then you do a little more knitting and then knit up the back. This is where I’m at right now. At least this yarn and this pattern seem very compatible. It’s always nice when [...] So our knitting guild is having a knit-a-long and one of the projects is this 198 Yards of Heaven Scarf (Rav link to Free Pattern).
