I finished my Monkey socks for my pal. I figure the next day or so I will get them in the package and get them off in the post. Everything else is ready to go, so just need get pack it all up. I hope my pal loves them. They are made from Koigu 516. [...] I think I have a low pressure headache. It’s been threatening rain for several days. My sinus headache has been going on now for two days and it hasn’t been fun, so not as much knitting as I like. Let’s just hope it’s nothing more and I won’t get sick. I have casted on the [...] Here we go… Monkey one.
I think it turned out really nice. Off to cast on Monkey two. ~ Madame Purl I did knit a lot of monkey, but I couldn’t quite get there before the end of this evening. I believe right now I’m about 1 inch away from starting the toe – so I could have a Monkey tomorrow, but most likely Tuesday since I want to get back to the gym tomorrow for [...] The Monkey Sock continues – I have finished the cuff on the first sock. Yeah. I’m planning a long knitting session tomorrow. I’m interested to see how far I get – could I finish the first sock? Maybe.
Now I have a question for you all – this is going [...] So I still wasn’t too sure about this yarn at the one-repeat, but now I’m totally loving it. It’s turning out really gorgeous. I think this particular Koigu is working up wonderful in this pattern. And what a fun pattern it is – totally easy too. I whipped up another two repeats – and may [...] Let’s just say I love the twisted rib on the top of this sock. At one repeat – so far so good.
~ Madame Purl In the “it can’t only happen to me” files – one time I wore two different shoes out of the house and didn’t realize it until I was at the store. Oh – you know you have done that too. (lol) Anyway I didn’t wear these out today…but I was tempted. They both make me [...] Well, first I have to finish as least one of my STR and then I can Monkey sock. However, I’m making progress. I bought the yarn I believe I will use. I think it’s going to be delightful. Rebecca pointed out that the pattern on the sock pops more in a solid and I think [...] I swear I think this is the best heel I ever knit. It came out perfect. One thing is I kept the 0 needles going and it is nice and firm and tight. I switched up to a size 2 or 3.0mm for the leg and I won’t be surprised if I finish this one [...] |
