So the weather was crummy around here last weekend, but it didn’t stop us from going to a local quilt show over the weekend. I had a blast checking out some local and not so local stores wares and picked out some yummy things to come home with me. I’d say the quilting, [...] Maybe…It is seriously taking it’s time. These are some pretty trees that are blooming in the back yard. And a little Lily… [...] Other than some onions and beets, I put the garden to bed today. These are the last fresh veggies of the season. Lots of tomatoes, some peppers, and I had a boat load of celery. Today we had our appointment with Coco’s surgeon. Well, she does have luxating patellas, but they are only a [...] So this year I’ve seem to develop the habit of starting projects, but not finishing them. So not like me… so to remedy this situation before they get so old, they just need to be frogged, I’ve decided to put the needles in action and get two projects done. Here is a lovely little slug [...] The phlox is very happy this year. I’m not sure what I’m doing or what I’m not doing, but carry on phlox. You’re looking gorgeous. [...] Yesterday, we got out early and worked in the garden. I have a love/hate relationship with gardening. I love it to look nice, but don’t care for the actual work that is involved. It doesn’t help that I’m terribly allergic and by yesterday evening on the Benadryl. I woke up today still covered in hives. [...] So it’s no secret that I love gardens. I just seem to have trouble working in my own. The rose garden at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House were spectacular and here are some of my favorites.

However, we found them to be much too intensive for our gardening ability. Imagine how relieved I felt when I scored the number to a reliable gardener from a friend recently. He was able to spruce us [...] Since we lived here we’ve had a rose bush, but no roses. This year I decided that I would cut it back and take my chances. I think I have a secret green thumb, because I’ve never had so many blooms. They came out a gorgeous pink that match my new gorgeous Pink [...] |
