I have a few finishes under my belt this year that finally have been photographed. Yeah! I knew you were all worried I abandoned knitting and it’s been nothing but quilting, quilting and more quilting, but as you can see there was no need to worry. First Wildflower Lace Next Heart to Heart [...] Yesterday I started the day off with a bang by finishing two pairs of socks. A lovely simple car sock (my favorite pattern is Classic Socks for the Family, but there seems to be a lot of free ones on Rav that have a similar recipe) – that just needed kitchnering and the second [...] Happy Holidays. We just managed to suck down some delicious ham. DH cooked in the Le Cruset and wow… it was falling off the bone and super juicy. And while I don’t have a picture of it yet, I have finished quilting a flannel quilt. What was I thinking? That thing was impossible to move [...] Who-hoo… a finished object. I finished my unscheduled Citron. Wonderful, easy knit… I used just under 800 yards of fingering weight yarn. No bleeding this time off a hand-dyed. Yipee. I did 6 repeats and a longer ruffle on a size 4 needles. More details can be found at my project page. [...] So Julie and I took 5 classes at the WI Sheep and Wool this year. Yes we are crazy and that is why we are now busy recuperating. One of the classes was a Russian continental knitting class. Technically this is an Eastern combined knitting technique. I learned to knit English. I have always [...] Well, well…we’ve got a FO to show off today. Love, love, love how this turned out. I have to admit the yarn is still bleeding, but still love it. I started my Citron shawl, but don’t think this is going to work. It just seems a bit too busy. I’m thinking I’m going [...] So this year I’ve seem to develop the habit of starting projects, but not finishing them. So not like me… so to remedy this situation before they get so old, they just need to be frogged, I’ve decided to put the needles in action and get two projects done. Here is a lovely little slug [...] Look!!! Two finished objects this month so far… whohoo… This is a lovely free Ravelry pattern – 198 Yards of Heaven. I used some love Karaoke that was a gift from my two knitting buds — Beverly and Dawn. I have two more balls that might become another one of these…because it’s perfect size [...] This was a very fun project. I stuffed it with white floral styrofoam, which worked perfectly.
This was based after Alan Dart’s Wedding Cake Pattern. I switch the top out tothe crochet rose pattern available free for on Ravelry. I also added a 5 stitch I-cord along the bottom. It’s off [...] Coco in her pretty new pink sweater. [...] |
