This was a very fun project. I stuffed it with white floral styrofoam, which worked perfectly.
This was based after Alan Dart’s Wedding Cake Pattern. I switch the top out tothe crochet rose pattern available free for on Ravelry. I also added a 5 stitch I-cord along the bottom. It’s off [...] Well, it’s definitely February, so I can’t complain too much that it’s snowing. We’re expecting another 6-8 inches today. It’s starting to lighten up a bit. We took the dogs to the groomer this morning, but other than picking them up I have nothing planned today. I was going to get a haircut, but the [...] Another finished object and another crochet project. Pattern: Crochet Newsboy Hat by Eileen Tepper. Available: from Ravelry and on Etsy. Yarn: Berroco Ultra Alpaca – 2 skeins – matches my scarf. Super easy and fun project. I did re-crochet the brim a couple of times to get my tension right, but other than that [...] Another finished object this year already. Yeah! Well my friend Cindy and I braved the snow to make our way to Mosaic Yarns for the Queen Anne’s Scarf crochet class. This was my first time on the train to Chicago and we had a blast. We we arrived we planned on eating at a nice [...] I’m just going to give you a preview… but it includes a train ride, a crochet class in the Chicago burbs, a started scarf, my DH getting lost to pick us up from the train, dinner in a strange little diner, and finally exhaustion. It ends with the scarf on my blocking board, but I’ll [...] So I dragged myself home today from work. I got in a little later, so I stayed a little later to get my time in. Basically I would’ve been on time if I could’ve gotten myself out of bed. Working a whole day on Thursday really whipped my behind. I’m not used to [...] I was going to make another dishcloth, but had to give this little guy a go. I think for a first attempt from a novice crocheter this turned out super cute. I may have to try another. I think his body came out a bit long. The stupid marker fell off midway and [...] I had an itching to do another of these dishcloths. It went a lot faster this time and turned out just perfect. I can see the why these dishcloths are so addictive. I have to admit I never gave dishcloth knitting or crochet in this case a lot of thought, but I can see [...] Flirty, romantic, and just plain pretty - My next crochet project – which was inspired by one I saw on Etsy.com, but pattern my own… The Emma Cowl, with matching mittens.
The Emma Cowl is made out of Homespun. Yes you heard me right – Homespun in Covered Bridge Red. The [...] These are the bunny slippers from the Happy Hooker. The main reason I bought this book was for the bunny slippers.
They are so cute I had to make a pair.
