Make room on your bookshelves, folks. This one is a keeper. I’m a big fan of Lisa Llyod’s patterns already, so if you like the gorgeous cables, socks, and laces – there are more, more and more. When I started knitting 5 years ago and everyone said – “don’t make me anything.” I was planning on knitting her and Max a sweater and even bought the yarn. One thing lead to another and here we are [...] The Deception of the Emerald Ring is a third in the Pink Carnation series by Lauren Willig and was just as fun as the first two. In fact, I may say it was even more delicious than the first two as you can see Ms. Willig writing seems to be getting better all the [...] So today I found not only Interweave Knits in my box, which I swear is getting better and better, but also Wild Fibers and the creme de la creme a sales flyer from the Woolery – which of course puts on a great sale right before the festivals – when I’m saving my money. It is very good and of course I have already been browsing the patterns trying to decide which one I will have to knit. This one is a must have for any [...] So we are having a low-key Sunday/Easter. I’ve been working on my projects and I just finished another book. If you haven’t read Heart-Shaped Box – put it on your list. It’s totally different from what [...] Well, I haven’t had a book review in quite a long time and in the past couple of weeks I’ve actually finished 5 books. I’m sure that’s some sort of record for me. I’m normally about 3 a month or so. Since today is the first day of work, I figured I [...] So it’s been about a month since my last book review and in that time I finished 3 new books – all which were quite delightful.  |
