I did something new this week. I signed myself up for digital photography courses this fall at the local community college. The community program not the regular student program. Now I will keep my fingers crossed they will go. They have to have at least 5 enrolled for the classes to go. I have not had good luck with this, so I can only hope.
When I got home the next day I found this lovely butterfly in my garden. I’ve been trying to put in more butterfly and hummingbird plants. The butterfly bush (not in these pictures) seems to have been a popular choice this year. I’m thinking a few more of those next year.

Very pretty! The folks at the butterfly place told me butterflies are also in need of host plants for the caterpillars. I need to find a reference for what plants that would be in my area or perhaps I should just go back and quiz the guy. Perhaps we can do that together if you come next May.
A digital photography course – what a great idea! I’m going to look for one around here. It’s about time I learned to use mine for other than nasty little snapshots.
I’ve always wanted to take a photography course, but just haven’t found the time. Maybe once the kids are a bit older… I can’t wait to see what you learn, though!
