Finally I finished up Multnomah and even got the two ends woven end and blocked it. Love it… if I was to do it over again, I would put markers in between each repeat. I kept missing a YO here and there…fixable, but a complete PITA.
I also got the turkey potpie fillings done. I made enough for probably 10 9-inch pies. Whoa… that’s a lot of turkey.
I have to say…I’m glad both of these tasks are done. Off to the next projects.
That turned out gorgeous! I just ordered some lovely brown, sadly Twilight colorway isn’t in at the moment but the brown will go with lots of things. Your pot pies look great! I have just a few more crusts to roll out today and then I’ll be all done.

One more thing. I visited Connor Prairie History Museum in Indiana and they had a very interesting segment on spinning. The spindle was brought back by the Crusaders from China and the Westerners figured out how to attach it to a spinning wheel instead of drop spinning. I thought that was amazing.
Years ago I tore out an aritcle about Penny Dyeing……You take 50 pre 1982 copper pennies
and put them in a gallon glass jar. Add one quart non sudsing amonia and three quarts of
water. Let sit for 2 wks. Add 100% wood and let it steep. Then rinse. Then give it an acid rinse with part vinegar. The solution is supposed to turn indigo. Well it is just just hazy after five days or so. I am thinking that maybe our water is too good. And if nothing happens I might try again with distilled water. The wool is supposed to turn sage
green. Has anyone ever tried this? I am wondering if the pennies can be reused or is all
of the copper leached out? Thanks. Mary in NH
