Another dark day, but that’s ok.

I’m super tired today.  I wore myself out this week taking care of the critters and then switching to work the early shift instead of the afternoons.  I’m going in 8-ish to 1-ish, which is nice, but it was a change.  Also quite interesting as DH was traveling all this week.  He’s a big help at home, so it’s always a challenge to keep the wheels on the bus and roll down the road by myself.

DH made it home last night and Tobey,  who still seemed very sickly to me earlier in the day, just lit up when he saw him.  I talked to the vet earlier in the day and he said the lab couldn’t grow anything.  No infection present.  So now after blood tests, cultures, other tests, we seem to be going down the road to FLUTD, which used to be FUS.  I’ve had a cat with FUS before (when it was known as FUS), but he was about 5 years older than Tobey when he came down with it.  We made it just fine for a long time after we got it under control and he went on a special diet.  Doc thinks he probably was plugged up when I brought him in now, most likely with mucus, so I feel a lot less guilty getting him out at 8:30 on a Saturday night.  Well see what the new course of action is now.  I’ll keep you all posted.

Gotta go get ready for DH’s holiday party, which is tonight.  Time to squeeze myself into a pair of Spanx and a dress.  Well at least the dress is getting worn twice.  This is the second time.  The last time was 3 years ago when we went to the wedding from hell.  Of course, I was working out then on a regular basis and the Spanx had less work to do.  Wish me luck I don’t split something and completely embarrass myself.
