We went yesterday and I noticed someone taking pictures. I was appalled...that they didn't ask the vendor. There weren't any signs posted, but since I know that you will get thrown out of Stitches if you are caught taking pictures....I assumend it was the same here.

I think that it is like most other things where a person is just trying to make a living. I realize that you only wanted to post pictures on your blog....there are a lot of other people who take pictures to copy something, whether it be yarn colors or just the actual display. I have talked at length with a number of vendors, and the display is often as important as the yarn.

My guess is that if you had asked, most vendors would have been fine with pictures...in fact I saw someone who asked graciously and there was no problem....you probably just ran into the one vendor that had problems with pictures in the past.

I went last year and got yelled at for the same reason. Wonder if it was the same people. When I got to the Briar Rose booth I asked Chris if I could take photos and she was fine with it, but said that some vendors are fearful that you'll take their ideas and profit from them. Heading there this morning, with camera. We'll see what happens. Btw, love all the pics of your furry family members.
