So today was the best day for The Fold’s annual Summer Solstice Sale. I took the day off and went with a couple of friends for a stash enhancement exercise. All the soft goods were 30% off, except for the STR. I had to have one skein of that anyway, because it was in a colorway I had been coveting - Chickabiddy.

I picked out the light pink for Baudelaire socks that my knitting group is having a knit-a-long on.
It was busy and warm in there. Some ladies were shopping for yarn for the February Sweater for grown women and I thought - hey if I see a colorway I love, I may pick some up. Well, I was in love with the Tiled Roof Red and there was enough in that colorway - so had to have it for a new sweater. With the sale it worked out to around $3.50 a skein. I got 10 skeins as I want to lengthen the sleeves a bit. I was reading on Ravelry though that you want negative ease with this thing. So I will be knitting the smallest size - which is right on my size. I just couldn’t resist for $35 - it seemed like the perfect enjoyment and sweater.
Finally, at the last minute I saw that lovely 8 ounces of roving and loved it. Yes, I have enough roving in my stash and yes, I probably could’ve dyed it, but there it was and just jumped in my bag.
I’m thinking singles and a nice lovely scarf for a long winter day.
After this shopping experience we were forced to recuperate with hot fudge sundae’s, which just topped a beautiful day off to be better.
Even the sheep thought it was a perfect day for grazing.

Lovely day! That means there won’t be anything for me to buy!

Hah! I think we were there at the same time because the February sweater ladies were there during my visit too. I tried hard to restrain myself and did reasonably well. so much cool stuff and so many temptations
