Magic Carpet Ride

Just when I swear off buying more yarn…I go surfing blogs… sigh. Have you seen these beautiful, beautiful shawls – the yellow is Moroccan Days and the purple is Arabian nights… and this gorgeous scarf – Magic Carpet Ride that made my heart skip a beat.

I really loved both of the shawls, but they are big and there is the Bee Shawl that still has to be finished. And Peacock – don’t forget Peacock – my inner knitter conscious is saying. The knitter’s conscious is now yelling at me – oh and what about Hanami, young lady! Shhh! Don’t worry – before the spring is over I will at least be wearing my beautiful bee. I hope you all have this fight with your inner knitting conscious and it’s not just me being crazy.

But that Magic Carpet Ride scarf…in that beautiful Moroccan Spice red that Kim is dying is just so gorgeous and aw heck resistance is futile. I even waxed on and on how much wool I have, how I spun up some lovely lace-weight… how… how… aw bugger – I bought it. I knew I was no match when I was already at the bead store in my mind picking out beads for it.

Anyway I surely planned on something else today to post… oh well, resistance is futile.

Edited to add: Goodness gracious – did you see the cute bunny sock on Kim’s Blog – The Woolen Rabbit. I have a feeling another must have. (lol)

    Huh… you’ve been spammed again…

I’ve got the Arabian Nights waiting for beads to arrive. I ordered beads in 3 different colors… but instead of ordering 5000 in each color (so 6 vials) I only ordered 4000-something… major DUH moment. Guess I’ll be mixing and matching beads.
I have given up on the Bee shawl a LONG time ago as I just could not get into the rhythm of the border and it was annoying me…

    Cheers Eva
