Spinning Away

I’ve spent the day doing a little bit of spinning and shaking off mishap. This is one of I picked up from Rhinebeck and I love it. Love, love, love how it’s turning out. If you haven’t noticed, we really have low key holidays around here. It’s all about rest and relaxation. No traveling, no company, just us and our critters whooping it up. The only thing is I have such a craving for is chips and dip right now and didn’t get any at the store – I’ll have to wait till tomorrow. Oh well. Anyway, back to spinning…

Look how gorgeous on the bobbin.

Super gorgeous close up. I thought about splitting the skein, but it has so much random color – there was no really great spot to split it – so I said what the heck and went for it.

And finally after 3 or 4 trial and errors I was browsing Ravelry and I think Kris Crafts has the right idea. This has to be best Summer of Love Lace I’ve seen – so beautiful and using part of the original pattern… under my nose the whole time. Thanks Kris for the great idea.
