The one thing I love about mittens is they are such a quick knit. Here’s my first 2 minus the thumbs. They are a tiny bit short, but I think they will be ok.

So my soup turned out really good, but I’m thinking I liked it a bit better without the bacon. I thought the bacon competed a bit with the leek flavor, which is always quite mild and delicious. Although, I’m not complaining as we consumed it and I have enough for future meals in the freezer.
