Happy Summer Solstice!!!
Oh happy days!!! I got my new Socks That Rock kit and while I liked the others - I’m really super happy pleased with this one. I love the colors - it’s lightweight and I even like the pattern, which gives you the top up or top down method. I can’t wait to cast this baby on… I’m off to find my ball winder and swift. If you want to see to see the new yarn click more. I don’t want to spoil the surprise for someone who may not have gotten theirs yet.

It’s called Firebird and my inside tag says Phoenix. It’s a ruby red, orange, pink and yellow - some of the over lapping makes a super pretty pink lemonade. Here it is in the house with pattern. Pattern is Solstice Slip - I know how appropriate today.
Here is the yarn outside with Jack attempting to help.

I’ve got them started and after a few repeats have the rhythm of the pattern…I stopped using a cable needle after a few rows (and I’m not a cabling without a needle person - I usually like my cable needle - but not for this one)I have no clue if it’s striping, pooling, zigging or zagging…I think maybe pooling??
