Catching the Hump Day Wave

I know, I know I promised a picture of my second sock, but I forgot to take a picture before I sat down at the computer tonight. I would get up, but you know I may fall into bed and never return back to the computer. So instead I’m going to show you some stash that showed up on my door step today.

Knitpicks purchase

I really wanted to try the dpn’s from Knitpicks and well you know I had to spend at least $45 for free shipping. :) Well, you see the sock book. I debated because some are on the Net and a couple are in recent magazines with in the last year or so, but then others are older and very cool. Not too expensive, so perfect for the knitting library. I got the yarn because I want some red socks – don’t know why, but I figure the burgundy will be perfect for them. The black and grey are for Monsieur Purl.  He saw a pair of socks in a magazine and he asked “can you knit these?” Sure I can and the picture is on my board waiting to be knitted. I’ll add it to the list.

  • Nice stash enhancement! So what is this board of which you speak? I’m definitely in need of a way to keep track of current and planned projects because “in my head” is definitely not working. *lol*

I want to look inside that book before I decide if I should buy it. I have most of the old IK magazines, but it WOULD be nice to have all the patterns in one place….
    Your mittens are beautiful!!

  • They really are smart with that free shipping deal…we all spend more than we planned…just to take advantage. LOL

  • that free shipping will get you everytime! i just find it funny that every few months they up the amount even though the cost of postage hasn’t gone up since the last increase :o ) just sayin’!

have fun with your new goodies!

  • Does the yarn purchase make the working any easier? Looks like a lot of fun ahead!

  • love the yarn – and I saw that new book at a recent fiber fair.. it’s wonderful
