Wake Me When It’s Friday

Ok – I am a wimp – this whole working full time thing is kicking my butt.  I loved my part-time, I’ve come to realize.  I’m thinking once things are under control than maybe scaling back.  However, I broke out in hives today – well just a couple – so maybe the body is trying to tell me something.  I’m going to make this quick because I’m sure I’m past my bedtime.
I finished the mitten over the weekend – well up to the thumb.  I’m going to knit the other one and then come back and do the thumbs and weave work.  We have pictures (not the best, but no time to fool with them) of the front and the back.

Also got my Wild Fibers magazine, which I love – a couple great patterns too in there, but I hate when they come totally damaged.

I know it costs more, but really they need to think about some heavy duty plastic.  Excuse me, I’m just being cranky.  I do have some more of my pals Bloomin’ Feet sock done – and it’s turning out just as lovely.  I’m at the 1/2 point to the cuff, but I’ll show you tomorrow.  I have to pace myself since the crafting is slowing down for the moment.

  • Full time is a tough adjustment when you’re not used to it anymore and it’s not like any of your other jobs at home go away either. The mitten is coming along beautifully!

  • I have only worked full-time (officially) for a few brief periods in my life and I don’t see what all the excitement is about, other than having money and benefits and all that. LOL

I am already the busiest person I know and I don’t recommend working full time to anyone who can get away without doing so, unless of course they have a Life Career thing going on where they are in love with their job. Otherwise, it’s too much time away from home.

    I like home.

  • Oh, your mitten is FABULOUS!! You’re making such quick progress. ; )

  • Gracie
