Monsieur Purl and I are just sitting around tonight getting ready to say goodbye to 2006. Nothing big or special going on. I’m a bit pooped actually, as I did phase one of dog grooming today which takes about 3.5 – 4 hours if they behave nicely. Tomorrow I’ll finish up to send clean doggies into the new year. Overall, it’s been a good year – bring on 2007.
In the meantime I have been busy – like always. These are hand carded rolags – a whole large basket full. I know you’re impressed. (lol) I whipped these up last night while watching a couple of movies. It was the dyed Coopworth that I dyed when Grace and Julie were here. I found quite a bit of felt in the middle – so I just cut off the good stuff. This is supposed to be fun and not make me crazy right? I could’ve put it through the picker, but I was attempting to maintain some color definition and not make a mud pile.
Since I couldn’t wait to see a sample, I whipped out my spindle and gave it a whirl. Weee…. aren’t these colors going to be pretty for a pair of socks?
Well everyone have a very safe evening. Off to knit in the New Year.

That’s going to be just gorgeous, love the little sample you spun up.
Happy New Year! Very pretty, are you going to ply it?
I agree with Julie. The colors are great for socks. Have a happy new year!
