So I started back to work this week part-time and even though it’s only 30 hours it feels like a lot of work. Actually I only worked 21 hours this week, but I’m really feeling it now. After I got out of work today, I headed to the grocery store and stocked up on all sorts of goodies. I came home and took a nap (instead of going to the gym – bad, bad on my part) and then fixed dinner, which I completely over cooked. Poor Monsieur Purl, he had to eat salmon hockey pucks. It was more like salmon fish jerky – edible, but not delicious. Oh well, whoops.
After dinner we did our weekend errands and now I’m off to bed to read a book and just sleep. Yeah!!! So after that entire paragraph, my point is – I don’t have any new crafting to show you… but I do have a few more spindling places to make you drool.
I’m totally in love with the Wooly Spindles – of course I love the fancy hand cut ones – like all the patterns – I’m not sure I could choose. His new dragon one is very pretty.
The next one is Cascade Spindle Company – I can’t decide if I love the Rainier or the St. Helen’s more. If anything I’m really trying to convince myself that I don’t need the really cool and really portable Niddy Nosty. One part Niddy Noddy and one part Nostepinne – two tools in one. Very, very cool. Of course I’m loosing this battle and may just have to order it.
Anyway, haircuts and baths are in order for the chiens of this house tomorrow, but I’m hoping after that I can work on my sweater and spin some more sock yarn for Monsieur Purl’s socks.

Dear Mme Purl,
You really must stop all this linking nonsense to those sites with gorgeous spindles!!!! I can’t even spin yet and my list of MUST-HAVE-OR-I-WILL-DIE spindles is longer than I care to share.
I don’t even understand the difference between a top whorl and a bottom whorl spindle, but hey, I bet I will need a couple of each just because.
I do thank you for that site with the niddy nosty as that is one thing I will buy… 100% sure.
Cheers Eva
I also found it hard to keep up my schedule at the fitness center when I started a full time job away from home. Yesterday was my last day at my job and this morning I was right back at the fitness center. It must be psychological. : )
That’s too bad about the salmon! I have a super simple, fail safe salmon recipe: brush the filets with mustard and cover with bread crumbs. This keeps them from drying out. Bake 20 minutes at 350. It’s so easy and so good!!! Monsieur Purl will love you. Not that he doesn’t already. The mustard goes really well with the salmon and it’s delicious.
I’m laughing because I just posted a comment to you on Julie’s blog that you are missing out on the joy of cooking. I went right from there to this post and just had to laugh at my phychic genius.
